Kuwait's Amir returns home after concluding visit to Scotland

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his accompanying delegation returned home on Thursday, having concluded a visit to Scotland, the United Kingdom, paid in response to a personal invitation by King Charles III of the UK and Northern Ireland.
His Highness the Amir was welcomed at the airport by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and senior state officials.
His Highness the Amir was accompanied during his visit to the UK by an official delegation that included the Minister of the Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya, senior officials at the Amiri Diwan and the Foreign Ministry.

The Scottish kilt and Kuwaiti bisht are made with a special tartan design, which combines traditional textile materials, patterns, colors and techniques from both the United Kingdom and Kuwait, to celebrate the two countries' "125 Years of Partnership".

His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the official delegation accompanying him visited Wednesday His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland at Dumfries House in Ayrshire, Scotland, in response to an invitation from His Majesty King Charles III.
During the meeting, both leaders held friendly talks that reflected the depth of the historical and solid relations between the State of Kuwait and the friendly United Kingdom.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's visit to Scotland, the UK, in response to the personal invitation of King Charles III underscores the deep-seated relations between the two countries, said Kuwait's Ambassador to the UK Bader Al-Munayekh on Tuesday.
The visit comes after marking the 125th anniversary of UK-Kuwait partnership that witnessed several events in both countries that showed the importance of these ties, Al-Munayekh told KUNA and Kuwait TV.
His Highness the Amir's visit to the residency of King Charles III in Dumfries House in Ayrshire, Scotland, reflects a "special and robust bond," which would have positive impacts and strong motives to bolster bilateral ties even further, the ambassador pointed out.
Bilateral relations date back to before signing the Anglo-Kuwaiti Agreement of 1899. Of the pillars that contribute to promoting the UK-Kuwait ties are shared visits between the two sides, and over 10,000 Kuwaitis studying in the UK; the largest number compared to other countries, the ambassador pointed out, concluding.
