Kuwait Amir visits Supreme Judiciary Council

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah paid a visit to the Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) on Sunday evening on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
He was accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah and other senior officials. They were warmly welcomed by SJC President and President of the Court of Cassation Dr. Adel Bouresli, Minister of Justice Nasser Yusuf Al-Sumeit and Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice Tareq Ali Al-Asfour.
In a speech to the judiciary top brass, His Highness the Amir said, "Together with my brother His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah and my brother companions, we are pleased to visit you on a blessed night of the holy month of Ramadan." He praised the role of the judiciary authority of Kuwait as "the mainstay of justice and stability," in the country and a source of pride for all Kuwaitis.
The cornerstone in our quest for prosperity are a comprehensive security and a credible, professional and impartial judiciary ensuring justice for everybody, he said, affirming that "nobody has authority over judges." His Highness the Amir urged the judicial authority to act impartially, uphold the rule of law, and ensure the rights and freedoms of everybody, away from any personal considerations.
He outlined three main requests for the judiciary to work on as early as possible; First, to speed up the Kuwaitization of the judicial and the subordinate jobs, Second, to put fear of Allah, the Almighty, above all considerations while making verdicts, And third, to shorten the period of a prosecution and settling the disputes.
His Highness the Amir took pride in the growing participation of women in the judiciary, saying it is a historic stride in the way to woman empowerment which reflects Kuwait's commitment to ensuring gender equality.
He voiced hope for adopting legislations that could modern the judicial work, facilitate litigation and prosecution, and speed up the digitization of the judicial authority and the Public Prosecution.
He lauded the roles of the judicial and the executive authorities as "two wings of the leadership" helping realize the aspirations of the people and protecting their interests in the framework of the constitution.
Concluding, His Highness the Amir expressed best wishes for the judiciary people and all sons of Kuwait.

Kuwait Amir visits Fire Force HQ

His Highness the Amir, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, visited Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) headquarters, on Tuesday.
Accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah.
His Highness was received by Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and KFF Chief Major General Talal Al-Roumi.
In his speech, His Highness congratulated the fire force on the holy month of Ramadan, expressing his pride in the force for their service and sacrifice, as well as the force's chiefs for their leadership and training.
He reaffirmed his support for the force by raising its efficiency and readiness to protect communities, as well as keep pace with developments in the field of prevention through strategic planning.
His Highness noted the fire force's participation in the Sixth Arab Regional Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction, wherein Kuwait called on world governments to implement the Sendai Framework.
To continue the force's development and keep pace with its international counterparts, His Highness directed the force's leadership to develop the following:- Enhancing its member's vigilance and readiness, develop the force's systems to modern ones, benefit from modern technology to increase prevention and awareness, keep equipment updated, and finally cooperate with military, security, and civil sectors to better handle disasters and crises.
For his part, KFF's Chief had a similar speech, congratulating his Highness on the blessed month of Ramadan and thanking him for his dedicated support to the force.
He listed the force's achievements, among them is modernizing the force's systems to electronic ones, carrying out the largest preventative inspection, improve prevention and security systems, establishing new fire stations, implementing training programs, launching awareness campaigns, and many others.
Then Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Ali Al-Mutairi recited a poem, and His Highness the Amir received a commemorative gift marking his visit.

In the cable, President Robles said that he looks forward to the continuation of strengthening the bilateral relations between the two nations and conveyed his best wishes to the Amir, wishing him good health and more prosperity and progress to Kuwait. Kuwait Amir's visit Saudi Arabia.. New addition to solid ties

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah is scheduled to visit the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on a state visit Tuesday that will be marked with a scheduled summit meeting the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. His Highness the Amir's visit is the latest step by the top leadership for bolstering further the close relations between the two brotherly Gulf countries, bonded with family affiliations, geographic proximity, joint history and destiny. The mission falls within the framework of regular coordination between the two neighboring countries' leaderships regarding regional and international issues. Leaders of the two Gulf States regularly reciprocate visits. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal's last visit to the Kingdom was on June 1, 2021, when he was the State of Kuwait's Crown Prince. He went there again on October 25, 2021, for partaking in the first Middle East Green Initiative (MGI) Summit, followed with another one on, December 14, heading a delegation at the 42nd session of the Supreme Council of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). On July 16, 2022, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad visited Saudi Arabia to address a speech at Jeddah Security and Development Summit, followed with another mission, on December 8, participating in the 43rd session of the GCC Supreme Council, the GCC-China Summit and the Arab-China Summit, hosted by Riyadh. On May 19, 2003, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad went to the Kingdom to head the State of Kuwait's delegation at the Arab Summit that convened in the Red Sea city of Jeddah. He went there again on July 19 to take part in the 18th consultative meeting of the top GCC leaders and the Gulf Summit with Central Asia States. On October 20, 2023, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad was in the Kingdom, leading the State of Kuwait's delegation at the Gulf-ASEAN summit in Riyadh, and he was there on November 11 chairing the Kuwaiti delegation at the Arab-Islamic Summit, organized in Riyadh. The late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah visited Saudi Arabia, in January 2021, heading a delegation at a GCC meeting, against the backdrop of a visit to Kuwait by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, in December 2016. Kuwaiti and Saudi officials have regularly reciprocated visits for coordination on various issues of common concern. In June 2022, then foreign minister, Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, visited Riyadh. Later, in February 2023, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al-Saud, came to Kuwait and the country's deputy prime minister and minister of defense, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Ahmad, travelled to the Kingdom last October. Moreover, the former prime minister, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, visited the Kingdom in September 2022, on the first such mission abroad since taking the office, signaling Kuwait's acknowledgement of Saudi Arabia heavyweight. The historic and brotherly relations between Kuwait and Riyadh stood out, starkly, when the Kingdom supported the State of Kuwait in defending its legitimacy and independence during the blatant Iraqi aggression that began on August 2, 1990. The Kingdom hosted the Kuwaiti leaders, officials and ordinary citizens providing them with all forms of backing, in addition to its effective participation in the international coalition that liberated the country in 1991. Upon the basis that the security of the two countries is inseparable, the brotherly relations have deepened with a host of cooperation agreements at the media, cultural, economic, aviation, commercial and energy levels. The two countries, key oil producers, maintain close coordination regarding the policy of maintaining the international oil markets. Moreover, the signed accords have ensured steady two-way flow of commodities across the borders between the two neighboring Gulf countries. On December 11, 2022, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop the offshore Al-Durra gas field with a projected daily output of one billion cubic feet of gas and 84,000 barrels of liquid gas a day. On September 26, 2023, the Saudi Cabinet approved the Kuwait-Saudi accord for establishing joint railways. In aerial transports, on May 14, 2023, Kuwait Airways signed a code-sharing deal with Saudia (formally known as Saudi Arabian Airlines). At the parliamentary level, cooperation between Kuwait's National Assembly and the Saudi Shura Council has been growing through the joint friendship committee, reciprocal visits, and coordination with international and external quarters. In May 2023, a Saudi delegation visited Kuwait for coordination against cross-border trafficking. And in tourism. A Saudi delegation came to Kuwait in September 2022 to promote tourist attractions in the Kingdom. During the 2023, hajj season, Kuwait staged 75 flights for transporting the devotees to sacred sites in the Kingdom
