Kuwait Amir receives cable from Russian Pres. over demise of late Amir

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received a cable of condolences Sunday from Russian President Vladimir Putin expressing his sorrow and sincere sympathy over the demise of the late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. In his cable, Putin remembered the outstanding contributions of the late Amir, and progress of Kuwait in various fields and his personal efforts to strengthening Russian-Kuwaiti friendly relations. Putin added that the Late Amir had a great position in the Middle East and has done a lot for the social and economic development of Kuwait and the strengthening of its position on the international arena. In turn, His Highness the Amir sent a cable to the Russian President, expressing his deep thanks and appreciation for the sincere feelings of sympathy, affirming on the historical and close relations that bind the two countries and people.
