Kuwait Amir visits Fire Force HQ

His Highness the Amir, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, visited Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) headquarters, on Tuesday.
Accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah.
His Highness was received by Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and KFF Chief Major General Talal Al-Roumi.
In his speech, His Highness congratulated the fire force on the holy month of Ramadan, expressing his pride in the force for their service and sacrifice, as well as the force's chiefs for their leadership and training.
He reaffirmed his support for the force by raising its efficiency and readiness to protect communities, as well as keep pace with developments in the field of prevention through strategic planning.
His Highness noted the fire force's participation in the Sixth Arab Regional Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction, wherein Kuwait called on world governments to implement the Sendai Framework.
To continue the force's development and keep pace with its international counterparts, His Highness directed the force's leadership to develop the following:- Enhancing its member's vigilance and readiness, develop the force's systems to modern ones, benefit from modern technology to increase prevention and awareness, keep equipment updated, and finally cooperate with military, security, and civil sectors to better handle disasters and crises.
For his part, KFF's Chief had a similar speech, congratulating his Highness on the blessed month of Ramadan and thanking him for his dedicated support to the force.
He listed the force's achievements, among them is modernizing the force's systems to electronic ones, carrying out the largest preventative inspection, improve prevention and security systems, establishing new fire stations, implementing training programs, launching awareness campaigns, and many others.
Then Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Ali Al-Mutairi recited a poem, and His Highness the Amir received a commemorative gift marking his visit.
