Kuwait Amir urges security personnel to devotedly safeguard Kuwait

His Highness the Amir, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on Tuesday urged the Ministry of Interior's personnel to devotedly safeguard Kuwait and clamp down on drugs dealers with utmost firmness.
In speech marking his visit to the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior (the Building of Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah), His Highness the Amir began the statement with an address to the Minister of Defense and the Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the Interior Undersecretary Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and ministry personnel.
His Highness the Amir urged the MoI command and personnel to remain always vigilant, ready and primarily dedicated for serving the homeland, its interior security, its borders and stability, applying the law firmly on everybody without any exemption. He also called for "confronting narcotics, and any involved person, with all might and firmness for preserving future of youth, families and society.
"There must be no complacency in protecting the society from this annihilating scourge." Moreover, His Highness the Amir called for overhauling security tasks, upgrading the security personnel's efficiency, staying abreast of international development with regard of teaching, training and employing the modern sciences to sharpen the personnel skills.
He also called for boosting the confidence and partnership between the MoI and its staff with the citizens, preserving human rights and dignity through combating all forms of crime and offering services justly and equally.
His Highness Sheikh Meshal called for following up on implementing the new traffic law to cut the number of accidents and ensure roads' safety.
He had started his speech saying, "I am pleased along with my brother the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah and accompanying brothers, on this blessed night, to meet our brothers and children in the Ministry of Interior, command, chiefs and personnel - both civilians and military, to congratulate all on the advent of the blessed month, praying to His Almighty to aid us in fasting and prayers and accept us among his good subjects." Affirming that security is the basis for countries' development, progress and prosperity, His Highness the Amir said he is proud of the MoI personnel who play a pivotal role in safeguarding security "of our dear homeland and achieving safety for the Kuwaiti community." His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal praised the MoI personnel efforts in applying the laws on all citizens, also lauding update of the security apparatus with state-of-art systems, namely the biometric technology.
"We also value the ministry's continuous efforts for digital transformation, offering electronic services that save time and effort," he said, lauding role of the Kuwaiti women in the security sectors where they proved capable of shouldering the responsibility with efficiency and professionalism.
He pledged to continue backing the armed forces, particularly the MoI and its cadres, and supply the forces with most modern equipment. His Highness the Amir had arrived at the venue, accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah.
He and his entourage were received upon arrival at the MoI headquarters by the Minister of Defense and the Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah and the Interior Undersecretary Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
Following His Highness the Amir's address, the Acting Minister of Interior made a statement, then a film about the MoI's achievements (2024) was screened, followed by a statement by Colonel Dr. Lujain Al-Rushaid on behalf of the Women Police and poetry was recited by Major Mohammad Madi Ayed.
His Highness the Amir was granted a memorial gift.
